Thank You Mr Anthony James for this wonderful article based on the book of judges in Bible.
As far as I understand, period of judges is having a kind of moral and the Theological degradation in the life of people and also in the life of judges as well. Whenever the people of God when the way from their face God let the enemy go and fight against the Israelites. When the people cried out to God, then God raised judges among them who would fight for the people of God. However the period in the history makes a time of degradation of Israel. Because most of them forgot their God and starteded mingling with pagan worship and culture. At the end of the book of judges we find a moral rape scene and also the Epod of Micah, which means the complete destruction of Israel from being the Chosen, Holy people of God. In that respect book of Judges stands as a threshold for the opening of monarchy in Israel. In the book of Samuel with the call of Samuel we will feel there is a new beginning leading to the Kingship of Saul. ( Life of Jafta as a Judge shows that even the Judges whom God raised where failures with the similar example of Samson )
